Mended Threads started as a project for an uneventful Friday night and evolved into a small business. Shannon Oteri and Sophia Talese, at sixteen years old, collaborated and created this little business, originally based in Ocean City, New Jersey. Immediately, sales took off and the products have been purchased and shipped to different states across the country. We take old thrifted pieces and give them a new life, transforming them into fashion forward, one-of-a-kind pieces.

As Shannon (now 18) and Sophia (now 19) pursue their college careers on opposite ends of the country, Mended Threads now has two branches: East and West. Mended Threads East is run by Shannon as she is based in Newark, Delaware while studying at The University of Delaware and Mended Threads West is run by Sophia as she is based in San Diego, California while studying at The University of San Diego.
